Brief: Create a stunning, one-of-a-kind, off-grid wedding venue with power, lighting, flooring, dining tables, and a stretch-tent canopy to accommodate 140 guests, whatever the weather!

Against the breathtaking backdrop of Phoebe's parents' beautifully renovated off-grid home, just outside of the charming Scottish village of Lochgilphead, Oscar and Phoebe's wedding party was a truly special venue and occasion.

Oscar and Phoebe presented the Stretch Out West Team with the challenge of designing an individualised stretch-tent canopy for their off-grid wedding celebration. The tent canopy had to accommodate 140 guests for dinner, complete with flooring, tables, lighting, and power, and as the evening celebrations began, the dining area was to double up as a dance floor.  

The Scottish weather was at its best on the day, so our Stretch Out West events team opted for a floating stretch tent canopy (10.5 m x 15 m) with open sides. Generator-powered lantern-style lighting adorned the canopy, creating a twinkling array of lights as the sun set. To match the rustic setting, we chose trestle-style tables and benches for dinner service. The tables and benches were moved outside to transform the main seating area into a dance floor when the dancing began. Sturdy wood flooring provided a secure footing, allowing everyone to showcase their most daring dance moves!
